WHAT: A U.S. Navy's P-8A Poseidon low-rate initial production aircraft will be on display at Hangar 14, Naval Air Facility Washington, Md. Media will have an opportunity to photograph the P-8A and interview the crew and Commander Patrol Reconnaissance Group. Patrol Squadron 16 (VP-16), “War Eagles,” is the first fleet squadron to receive the P-8A Poseidon, the P-3’s replacement.
WHO: Rear Adm. Sean Buck, Commander Patrol Reconnaissance Group; Capt. Sean Liedman, OPNAV N-98 requirements officer; Capt. Scott Dillon, Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft program manager; and Cmdr. Molly Boron, Patrol Squadron (VP-16) commanding officer.
