Media Advisory: U.S. Navy Invites Media to Discuss Fire Scout, USS Klakring (FFG 42) Deployment What: Members of the electronic, print and broadcast media are invited to participate in a media teleconference to discuss the details of the Fire Scout, USS Klakring (FFG 42) deployment. The ship returned to Naval Station Mayport, Fla. Dec. 1, 2012 after setting endurance records during its five-month deployment. While deployed aboard FFG 42, Fire Scout regularly maintained 12-hour days on station, providing continuous support. The system accomplished a new single-day endurance record by providing ISR support for an entire 24-hour period. For the first time ever, HSL 42 conducted dual air vehicle operations.
