NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. — Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA) Detachment Patuxent River (Det Pax) hosted its annual “Thanksgiving by the Bay” event on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at its building located near the Chesapeake Bay.  More than 20 veterans from the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Charlotte Hall, attended and were welcomed by Capt. Joe Rodriguez, commanding officer, FRCMA, and Lt. Cmdr. Jerry Timog, FRCMA Det Pax maintenance officer. Veterans enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast with all of the trimmings while surrounded by more than 250 active duty service men and women, civil service and contractor personnel, who came not only to enjoy the food and festive atmosphere, but also to show respect for the sacrifices made by those who came before them. FRCMA Det Pax River hosts this event every year to honor the dedication and sacrifice of all service members, past and present.
