PHOTO RELEASE: Way forward mapped with best practices, lessons learned at COMFRC Face-to-Face

FLEET READINESS CENTER WEST, DETACHMENT FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Commanding officers (COs), executive officers (XOs) and directors from across Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC), worked to develop the way forward for optimizing capability and capacity at a Face-to-Face meeting Mar. 15-17 at Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) West, Detachment Fort Worth, Texas.

In addition to developmental work on Vision 2020 -- the strategic plan for regaining readiness -- the team toured Lockheed Martin to seek “lessons learned” from the F-35 Lightning II readiness operations center. Team members also toured the American Airlines Integrated Operations Center to capture best practices from American on methods such as scheduling parts movement, artisan fielding and spares control for both aircraft and parts.

COMFRC Face-to-Face meetings are held regularly on a rotating basis at one of the FRCs or their associated detachments.
