Lakehurst honors 9/11 memory

Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. – Sailors and civilian employees at Lakehurst honored the memory of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks with a ceremony and 5K memorial run Sept. 11. About 100 employees participated in the event to honor the fallen heroes on an exceptionally warm and sunny September morning in central New Jersey. The memorial run was preceded by a Navy Color Guard flag ceremony and remarks in memory of the many family, friends, and neighbors lost to the tragedy of 9/11.
