Released by the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake Public Affairs Office--The U. S. Naval Museum of Armament and Technology has scheduled a ribbon cutting on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 3 p.m. to inaugurate its new display highlighting Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Three One (VX-31). The "Dust Devils" continue to serve the Fleet conducting research, and developmental testing of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and software updates for the Navy's latest aircraft and weapon systems.

The museum is interested in acquiring additional documentation of uniformed military contributions to the history of China Lake. Any former and retired military personnel who wish to share photographs, artifacts, plaques and citations, or personal stories that relate to service time spent at China Lake may contact Debbie Rios at the museum, either by phone at (760) 939-0414 or e-mail at [email protected].
