The newest Associate Fellows will be inducted in late August during ceremonies at Patuxent River and China Lake. The East Coast ceremony will take place at the Patuxent River Officers’ Club Eastern Shore Room on August 23 at 2 p.m. The West Coast ceremony is set for the China Lake Michelson Laboratory Management Center on August 25 at 2 p.m.
The NAVAIR Research & Engineering Fellows Program, which was instituted in 2000, is a peer-oriented technical recognition program for the command’s most experienced and talented scientists and engineers who have made major contributions to Naval aviation. NAVAIR Associate Fellow is the program’s first tier of technical recognition, the second tier is NAVAIR Fellow, and the third and highest tier is NAVAIR Esteemed Fellow.
