NAVAIR Command-Wide Action for Civilians/Military

Archived Body

The Workforce Shaping Web site is now back on line and available for use at https://sigma.navair.navy.mil/workforceshapingcommandbaseline. Listed below are new instructions for accessing the NAVAIR Workforce Shaping application.

All NAVAIR civilian and military personnel must complete the command-wide action by the extended deadline of Dec. 9.

Due to software updates required to meet DOD-mandated security requirements, the Web site was temporarily disabled. Thank you for your patience during this time.

As part of the NAE baseline of the entire NAE workforce, NAVAIR is committed to collecting basic workload planning information on products, tasks, and funding for all current civilian and military employees. Most competencies are also entering intermediate produce (IP) information, which is currently available in the IWP database.

User guides for employees, supervisors and CSS IWP user roles are available under the help tab on the Web site above. To help explain how this action fits in NAVAIR and NAE overarching HCS, “the ABC’s of HCS” is available on the NAVAIR portal.

For help with IT connectivity issues, contact the NAVAIR National Help Desk at 301-342-3104. Before calling the Help Desk, please the IWP help menu, as many questions can be answered using the information found there.

The following new instructions are for access to the NAVAIR Workforce Shaping Application:

1. Access the application by entering the following URL: https://sigma.navair.navy.mil/workforceshapingcommandbaseline/.

2. You will be prompted to enter your NMCI logon credentials in order to access the Web site. Enter the Username & Password that you use daily to access your NMCI seat.

NOTE: Unless you are in the NADSUSEA domain, you must enter your domain name followed by a backslash and your user name. For example, a user on the west coast must enter NADSUSWE\john.doe. Users located at Patuxent River, Md., part of the NADSUSEA domain, will only need to enter their NMCI user name (john.doe) and password.

In order to determine your domain name, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE. A dialogue box will appear displaying your personal log on information. For example, Doe, John E CIV NAVAIR is logged on as NADSUSEA\john.doe [domain name]\[user name]

3. If you are an existing Workforce Shaping user and are logging onto the application for the first time since software updates were made, you will need to be synchronized with your existing user profile and will need to enter your last name and last four digits of your SSN. This is a one-time synchronization. Subsequent logons to the application will only require your NMCI logon credentials.

4. New users will need to enter their NMCI logon credentials and will need to provide basic profile information when accessing the system for the first time. Subsequent logons to the application will only require NMCI logon credentials.
