CAROL BARRY RECEIVES NAVY MERITORIOUS CIVILIAN SERVICE AWARD
Released by the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake Public Affairs Office--One of the highest honors a civilian employee can receive during their career was bestowed Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 to Ms. Carol Barry, at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake.
The recipient of the Navy's Meritorious Civilian Service Award, Carol was recognized for her 21 years of dedication, and commitment including serving as an executive associate for the past four, top-ranking technical and executive directors; co-chair on the Corporate Support Board; mentor to clerical support personnel; and initiator of efficient and accurate office administration processes.
Dr. Karen Higgins, NAWCWD executive director, and Rear Adm. Mark Skinner, NAWCWD commander, surprised Carol at the presentation as her husband, Herbie, and mother, Marie Bird, gathered with Carol's co-workers in a reception honoring her outstanding efforts.
