NAVAIR’s Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) Program Office (PMA-290) hosted its annual P-3/EP-3 Operational Advisory Group meeting with the fleet April 18-26 to address issues related to the current and future readiness of the Navy’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance community.

“This was an opportunity for NAVAIR to work side-by-side with our customers - the P-3 and EP-3 fleet operators,” said Capt. Steve Eastburg, MSA program manager. We had the chance to refine our P-3C and EP-3E sustainment bridge strategies so that we continue to effectively operate our legacy forces until the P-8A MMA and the Aerial Common Sensor are delivered to the fleet.”

Leaders from across the Navy’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance community assembled for three days of meetings and working groups held at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center April 18-21. The Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Force Executive Steering Committee met on April 25-26 to hear briefings and the results of the working group sessions.
