Aviation Structural Mechanic Senior Chief Matthew Roberts has recently re-enlisted for two more years of Navy service. Roberts enlisted in the Navy in 1978 and served four years at China Lake. In 1984 he joined VX-31 Naval Reserves where he advanced to AMCS.

Aviation Structural Mechanic (AMS) Second Class Joe Murphy re-enlisted for an additional four years after a combined twelve-year tour with the Navy. Murphy began his career as an Aviation Boatswain Equipment AMAN (ABE) aboard the USS Ranger in 1979, joined the reserves in 1999, and has worked with VX-31 0176 for the past six years.
