NADEP becomes National Environmental Performance Track Partnership member
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently accepted Naval Air Depot Cherry Point as one of approximately 400 partnership members in its National Environmental Performance Track program.
The depot was notified of its acceptance in February, according to depot environmental program officials.
Performance Track is a voluntary partnership program that recognizes and rewards facilities that consistently exceed regulatory requirements, work closely with their communities and excel in protecting the environment and public health.
NAVAIR Depot is one of eight Performance Track partnership members in North Carolina. The Performance Track program started in June 2000.
Performance Track membership criteria includes a commitment to challenge environmental goals and a dedication to continual improvement. Members report annually on progress toward their goals.
