500th SLAM-ER Warhead to Roll Out at China Lake

Local media is invited to attend the rollout of the 500th Standoff Land Attack Missile Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) warhead by the China Lake Propulsion Laboratory explosives processing plant on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 9 a.m. All media will be escorted to and from the site, and photography will be permitted.
This event marks a significant milestone for the program in providing these warheads as government-furnished equipment to the Boeing Company with a remarkable success rate.
The informal ceremony will take place in the Salt Wells area and will be attended by members of the SLAM-ER/Harpoon Integrated Product Team as well as representatives from the Boeing Company.
