The base will be conducting large-scale fire tests at the Flight Deck Fire Test Facility, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake from August 9th through the 12th, 2005. Tests will be conducted from approximately 5 a.m. through 11 a.m. each day. Although Friday is a flex day for most of the base, it will be reserved as an alternate test day in case of delays, especially due to weather conditions. Several tests per day are expected, putting up moderate quantities of smoke for each test.
