SENSOR & OPTICAL TECHNOLOGY EXPERT RECEIVES MICHELSON LABORATORY AWARD

Albert Ogloza was presented the Michelson Laboratory Award by WD Executive Director Dr. Karen Higgins on Thursday, Aug. 26 for his expertise in sensors and technology for the China Lake Research Dept.

Part of the inscription reads, "Weapons Division certifies that Mr. Albert A. Ogloza has distinguished himself in the application of optical technology to warfighting systems."

It continues, "his expertise has supported many programs such as DAMASK, the computer aided tracking and identification program, Storm Shadow, and high energy laser weapons."

Ogloza who has worked at WD for 17 years is recognized as an expert in sensors and weapons development by both Navy and Air Force leaders.

Currently, he is the NAVAIR interface between science and technology, and test/evaluation of high energy laser weapons programs.
