The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake recently presented Mr. George F. Sieg with the Dr. Charles C. Lauritsen Award, which recognizes outstanding individual achievement in the advancement of technology in energetic materials, ordnance, propulsion and fuzing, or career achievement in the field of energy. Mr. Sieg was honored with a framed certificate and a crystal sphere for his significant contributions of mentorship, leadership, technical innovations and enhancements of the energetics infrastructure.
