China Lake, Calif.--JANNAF (the joint Army, Navy, NASA, Air Force) Interagency Propulsion Committee has presented the Navy Energetics Enterprise Collaboration Award to the test and evaluation (T & E) team of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).

Bettye Moody, from NAVAIR Weapons Division China Lake, along with team members Joyce DeBolt, from Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Command Indian Head Division; Barry Mohle, from NAVSEA Dahlgren Division, and Melinda Hendrix, from NAVSEA Crane Division, were recognized for their shared efforts within the four sites. The T& E team recommended mutual work to each other’s site and ensured data gathering and analysis were in sync for their customers’ benefit.

This includes propellants, explosives, and pyrotechnic ordnances in all branches of the military, with the Navy having the largest organic energetics capabilities. The entire program operates jointly in finding the best technical solutions for the Navy and our Nation’s warfighters while avoiding long-term cost.
