The Naval Air Weapons Station and the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division invite you to attend ground breaking ceremonies for two BRAC-related facilities Oct. 9 at China Lake.

The first ground breaking will be at 9 a.m. for the In-service Engineering Facility (P-704V) at the China Lake Propulsion Lab. This will be followed by the ground breaking for the Weapons and Armaments Facility #1 (P-719V).

P-704V will be a 20,000 square foot facility for lab space supporting in-service engineering sustainment and maintenance. This $9 million project should be finished in the summer of 2011.

P-719V will provide high-bay and small-bay laboratories for Point Mugu’s Logistics Weapons Test Support, as well as facilities for fleet support currently provided by Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach. This $33 million facility is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2011.

China Lake leadership scheduled to be at both events are Capt. Mark Storch, NAWCWD commander, Scott O’Neil, NAWCWD executive director, and Cmdr. Lee Johnson, NAWS executive officer.
