Col. Kevin Gross, right, commanding officer of the Marine Aviation Detachment, presents Gunnery Sgt. Michael Andrews with his first Navy Achievement Medal on Oct. 8 in recognition of his work as the Naval Ordnance Maintenance Management Program (NOMMP) coordinator and fleet liaison officer. In this position, he completely redesigned the CNO Redshirt Web site, increasing Navy and Marine Corps usage by 35 percent in just three months. Andrews was also recognized for the countless off-duty hours he spent preparing for the semi-annual NOMMP working group conference for senior Navy and Marine Corps leaders. A native of Columbia, Pa., Andrews has been in the Marine Corps for 18 years, and works out of the CAMAIR facility.
