On Dec. 11, 2009, the last operational U.S. Navy UH-3H Sea King helicopter will be retired and passed on to the United States Marine Corps - thus closing the door on 50 years of service to the Navy.

WHY: The end of 50 years of Sea King service to the U.S. Navy.
WHEN: Dec. 11, 2009, 11:00 a.m.
WHERE: Hangar 109, Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.
WHO: The guest speaker will be retired Rear Adm. Ron Christenson - Sea King pilot, H-3 Squadron Commanding Officer, and the first helicopter pilot to command a nuclear aircraft carrier.
