WHAT: The U.S. Navy will commemorate a test milestone for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) program with a ribbon cutting ceremony Nov. 12.

WHERE: The EMALS full-scale catapult test site at Joint Base McGuire-Fort Dix-Lakehurst, N.J.

WHEN: Thursday, November 12, 2009; 2-3 p.m.

WHO: NAVAIR’s Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Program Office (PMA-251) will host the event where leaders from the program, the engineering support activity, NAVSEA, Joint Base McGuire-Fort Dix-Lakehurst and industry partner General Atomics will launch the system’s armature.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation for media from the Washington D.C. area to Joint Base McGuire-Fort Dix Lakehurst, N.J. will be provided. Details will be given upon receipt of R.S.V.P.
