WESTERN ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 13, 2021) An F-35C Lightning II aircraft from Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23, flies over the Italian aircraft carrier ITS Cavour (CVH 550) as part of a certification of the ship’s instrument carrier landing system March 8, 2021. NAWCAD SPN-41B technicians from the Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems Division were aboard the Italian Navy flagship to perform a category III certification as part of the ship’s sea trials.
