Team facilitates H-53 repair in Middle East without ever leaving Cherry Point

A CH-53E Super Stallion, assigned to Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 (Reinforced), 26^th Marine Expeditionary Unit, delivers fuel bladders to a forward arming and refueling point on Karan Island, Saudi Arabia, during routine sustainment exercise May 27. When a damaged gear in the main rotor gearbox rendered the aircraft inoperable and awaiting repair aboard the forward-deployed USS Bataan, Fleet Readiness Center East artisans and engineers with the H-53 Fleet Support Team collaborated to find an innovative repair solution.
