John Stafford, a machinist at Fleet Readiness Center East’s Repair Machine Shop, takes precise measurements on a T64 engine component. It is not uncommon for the machinists working in the shop to deal with tolerances as low as one ten thousandth of an inch. The Repair Machine Shop supports the depot’s aircraft production areas by reconditioning and refurbishing a vast array of parts and components.
