A screen displays how closely two unmanned systems operate near each other while data to the right provides operators information on speed, location, and other air traffic details during a flight test at Naval Air Station Patuxent River. The first-of-its-kind detect and avoidance system called Guardian successfully demonstrated it will make operating unmanned systems alongside manned and other unmanned aircraft safer in increasingly busy airspaces.
