SPY-1 Delta

The AEGIS AN/SPY-1D is a 3D radar system used by the U.S. Navy and first installed on the Arleigh Burke, with every antenna in a single deckhouse. It is a variant of the AN/SPY-1B designed to fit the Arleigh Burke-class using the UYK-43 computer. Its main antenna is utilized for missile uplinks which eliminates the need of a separate missile uplink in earlier models. Also, the UYA-4 display in earlier models is replaced by the UKQ-21 display.

This MRTS 3D® application runs the operators through the fault troubleshooting and maintenance of the AEGIS AN/SPY-1D Multi-Mission Signal Processor (MMSP) Air Search Radar Array System. The environment contains two equipment spaces: Radar Room 2 and Combat Systems Equipment Room (CSER) 2. Operators are able to use various specialized tools and interact with various high-fidelity equipment modules, such as the ORTS console, COTS Maintenance Tool (CMT) Laptop, and the Radar 2 Electronic Commands Signals Programmer, Radar Frequency Exciter, Radar Signal Simulator, and Radar Receiver Processor Cabinets.

Use-Case scenarios include faulty Radar Frequency (RF) Exciter Clutter Waveform Generator, faulty Calibration Files, faulty Adaptation Files, faulty SCUS Files, and conducting maintenance checks for MMSP.
