MQ-4C Triton Avionics Technician (AT) Maintenance
The MRTS 3D® Triton AT laboratory was developed to support maintenance training for the Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) rate performing on the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). This training system provides organizational level (O-Level) avionics fault isolation and troubleshooting training. Aviation Electronics Technicians and instructors are able to efficiently develop and assess their skills by virtually performing roughly 300 unique operational checkout and maintenance action procedures including normal operations or fault-coded and observed fault isolation scenarios. Triton AT is a unique MRTS 3D® implementation because it incorporates a simulated diagnostic laptop computer called BETTIE. One of the key features this application possesses is the capability for the external skin to become transparent, allowing all internal components to be visible. The training system is installed at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT) DET on Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) in California.
