Services
1. Governance for System Engineering - 1Govern Engineering Consulting will propose the best governance processes to ensure the successful delivery of major transformational mission critical investments, systems, and solutions.
The team will recommend and implement 22 Key Proprietary Governance processes and work with the governance committees to implement the best system engineering management processes. The expanded governance processes will ensure alignment with the agencies mission and vision, strategic priorities to ensure the successful delivery of solutions with cost and schedule.
The improved governance processes will ensure executive buy in, improve collaboration and transparency, approve funding, enhance management controls, and promote shared solutions at a lower cost.
2. Strategic Planning - Lead team building offsite workshop to strategic planning session to set priorities with all levels of the organization to gain consensus on the mission, vision, strategic priorities, measures of success. The team will review the existing plans, customer requirements, surveys, mandates, budgets, policy and conduct environmental scan to identify external mission requirements and drivers. The strategic plan is a tool for leadership to collaborate and share not only where an organization is going, and to identify the actions needed to succeed.
Propose the balance scorecard method or another preferred strategic planning approach to 1) conduct an assessment to understand the internal and external environmental drivers, 2) formulate high level strategy to gain consensus on basic organization priorities, 3) develop strategy map to translate the high-level plan into actionable outcomes and results, 4) Lead the evaluation phase to identify, evaluate, gain consensus, and refine the strategic priorities, outcomes, measures of success, culture. As a result of the strategic planning process, and the team building activity every employee gains ownership of the Strategic Plan and commits to the goals, objectives, outcomes, and they can see how they contribute to the organizations mission.
3. System Engineering -The team will propose a System Engineering Governance PMO that provides a disciplined engineering approach to plan, design, test and evaluate, secure, procure, integrate, deliver, and retire systems. The SDLC process involves several distinct stages, including planning, analysis, design, building, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Lead Systems engineering gate reviews to give management visibility into the project's progress to-date, changes since the last Gate, and the project manager's plan for the near term. This approach provides key indicators that allow management to consider allowing the project to proceed, delay, alter, or cancel the project before further work is performed.
Develop Technology Roadmaps to provide recommendations on where to best apply technology to solve business needs and challenges.
Conduct Research and development (R&D) to allow agencies to focus their scarce resources on major Capital investment and innovate and introduce new products and services.
Develop technology test evaluation processes to assesses the new technology and the solutions value from technical, compliance consumer perspectives and balances the results within the evaluation criteria.
Implement Data Engineering services to find trends in data sets and developing algorithms to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise. This IT role requires a significant set of technical skills, including a deep knowledge of SQL database design and other programming languages.
4. Cyber Security services the chief information security officer (CISO) is the executive responsible for an organization's information and data security. While in the past the role has been rather narrowly defined along those lines, these days the title is often used interchangeably with CSO and VP of security, indicating a more expansive role in the organization.
The team will hire VP Security to lead Cybersecurity engineers, information security engineers, identify threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software, then apply their skills to develop and implement high-tech solutions to defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats and all types of cybercrime.
5. Propose a communication strategy to achieve communication objectives. A communication strategy has four major components: communication goals, target audience, communication plan and channels it will encourage teambuilding and boost employee morale.
6. The communications strategy will require the agencies change organization behavior and implement the following six activities: 1) Hold regular strategy meetings for the entire team, 2) Be Inclusive Make sure you don’t leave anyone out when you invite people to meetings or send out reports about recent developments, 3) Be transparent clear and concise Try to get your messages across in ways that are easy to understand and accessible to everyone concerned, 4) Show respect regardless of title and position in the organizational hierarchy, all participants should be expected to show respect for their fellow team members and should be held accountable for their behavior, 5) Recognize that being right may be wrong Your need to be right can end up alienating others to the extent that they stop communicating altogether, 6) Use online collaboration tools Collaboration tools help streamline project management and facilitate the process of collaborating with team members and other stakeholders.
