MilVets Systems Technology Inc
MILVETS has been a member of the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) contractor support team in various capacities since NMCI’s inception in 2000, first as a subcontractor to EDS, then HP, and currently as a subcontractor to Northrup Grumman (NG) under the NGEN contract.
Program Management
From the beginning, MILVETS played a significant role in the entire life-cycle of transitioning legacy systems to the NMCI environment. Initially focused on Marine Corps applications, we provided program management support to USMC Functional Area Managers (FAM) to reduce the number of legacy applications that need to be tested and deployed to NMCI seats, including the creation of IT portfolio management; instituting portfolio cost visibility; and participating in various working groups to mature the FAM approval process as well as oversight framework for portfolio operations, policy, and acquisition.
Help Desk Services
MILVETS continues to provide I, II, and III-level Helpdesk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (24x7x365) for over 700,000 end-users and over 3,000 exchange servers. All employees are cleared at the Top Secret or Secret level and maintain or acquire additional certifications/training to continue providing customers with excellent service. MILVETS also installs, configure, service, repair, and maintain information technology systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment, including MS server, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized information technology systems. MILVETS displays familiarity with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), Virtual Private Network (VPN), and Network Address Translation (NAT).
