Founded in 2003, CEI is a Woman Owned Small Business located primarily in Colorado Springs, CO. CEI stresses cross-discipline expertise of its engineering staff to enable efficient trade space decisions across hardware, software, firmware, and systems design activities. CEI’s technical staff have degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or the physical sciences - approximately 30% have advanced degrees (Ph.D. in Mathematics/Artificial Intelligence or Ph.D. in EM/Remote Sensing). All members of CEI’s principal and systems engineering staff have over 20 years of hands-on design experience in electrical systems. This includes hardware experience with the Radio Frequency (RF) domain, both digital and analog systems/sub-systems, ASIC design, multi-chip modules (MCMs), monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), and system/sub-system integration and test. CEI’s software experience covers assembly to web/apps and includes real-time code, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, embedded development, and enterprise-level applications. CEI’s firmware experience encompasses complex board design with multiple FPGAs and programming expertise with Verilog, VHDL and OpenCL. CEI has also designed and developed systems for radar, Signal Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), Electronic Warfare (EW), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Security/Information Assurance, Grid Computing, Social Networking Architectures, Autonomous Provisioning, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR).
