CATI has a strong reputation for providing Image Generation (IG), and Terrain Database solutions to the UH-60 and CH-47 community within the U.S. Army, supporting 100% of the Flight School 21 (FSXXI) advanced helicopter simulators, the Lift Simulation Modernization Program (LSMP) devices, the Transportable Blackhawk Operations Simulators (TBOS), and the Advanced Blackhawk Flight Simulators (ABHFS). CATI has also recently delivered Image Generator System (IGS) number 22 for the Blackhawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT) program.

CATI’s X-IG® solution is also the chosen solution within many of the Sikorsky systems integration labs (SIL) in Stratford Connecticut, the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) Lab at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville AL; United States Army Aeromedical Research Lab (USAARL), Fort Rucker, AL and the Air Maneuver Battle Lab (AMBL), Fort Rucker, AL.

CATI Training Systems’ Image Generator solutions are all PC–based and specifically designed around industry-standard OpenGL®, and OpenFlight®, the 3D standard format for the visual simulation industry. The open design of X–IG® and X–Gen®, run on 100% COTS PC–based hardware and software, making maintainability both efficient and economical. This allows us to bring a high level of performance and versatility to various types of training, testing, and experimentation simulation scenarios. X-IG® and its suite of associated tools and programs offer superior image fidelity, realism, and ease of integration with most existing simulation systems
