LRM was born out of the need in industry to coach and develop leaders in the 21st century, hence the name Lead-Risk Millennia XXI (21st-century). Unfortunately, leaders in today's work environment are more process followers than inspiration, big vision leaders. Furthermore, the workplace of the 21st century has changed. Whereas in the late 1900's workforce leaders were amongst the Baby Boomers, in the 21st century the work place is evolving. Advances in medicine, coupled with the burst of the economic bubble in 2008 contributed to what we see today as a work place that contains 3 and in some instances 4 generations of American Workers. The way we communicate with a Millennial via text, is not the same way we communicate with a Baby Boomer in person. It is the responsibility of the leader to adapt to every person under his/her charge, communicate effectively across all layers of demographics, be mindful of implicit biases and maximize the workplace with dignity and respect.
That mentality is what LRM brings to the NAVAIR environment and we hope to do business in NAVAIR to deliver the type of leadership and support which made me successful for 38 years in uniform!
