The 4S - Silversword Applied Physics Group supports NAVAIR and other clients with cutting edge solutions in free space optics, fiber optics, advanced detection capabilities and other areas of research. We have won multiple SBIRs to support dual core fiber optic technology, free space optical solutions for on-the-move platforms, and novel uses of FSO systems, such as robotic mesh networks, phase array antennas and air to air alignment and communication.
The 4S - Silversword Professional Services Group provides the right experts to meet mission and business needs. We supported the USAF in analyzing their end to end pilot production and retention ecosystem and developing to support pilots, increase retention and meet mission need during the global pilot shortage. We supported the Joint POW-MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) and the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) as the merged missions, commands and networks to create the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. Our group led the requirements gathering, PPBE, and architectural oversight of the network merger, the first Impact Level 4 distribution of Salesforce in the DoD for a Case Management system and the development of a public portal for families of the lost and missing.
