Axiom’s science and engineering expertise serves as a force-multiplier for our federal customers, ushering basic scientific concepts through engineering prototypes to full rate production through our lean enterprise approach. Our science and engineering personnel leverage a blend of software and emerging technologies that enable rapid development and deployment for our customers.
Our experts support the National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Prediction Center (WPC) and Hurricane Prediction Center (HPC) to protect life and property. At the NWS, we support numerical weather prediction modeling and support the upper-air operations for their Radiosonde Frequency Migration Project. For the WPC, we provide a continuum of forecasting services as we develop forecasting tools, as well as continuous forecasting and specialized support before and during extreme weather events. Importantly, we provide daily tropical cyclone rainfall forecasts for the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico during emergencies, in cooperation with the NHC and all countries involved.
At the NHC, we maintain a continuous watch on tropical cyclones and areas of high disturbances in the North Atlantic. We prepare, issue, analyze, and forecast text advisories and graphical products. Our team issues coastal tropical cyclone watches/warnings for the United States and its Caribbean territories, as well as providing watch and warning recommendations to other World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Region IV meteorological services.
Axiom's Cloud Computing services is the delivery of moving and migrating servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence to the Cloud outside an organization’s firewall rather than having local servers or handle applications. We understand cloud computing lowers operating costs and allows for efficient scaling to customers. Axiom provides HPC cloud computing support to the National Weather Service (NWS) Environmental Modeling Center. Additionally, we offer Cloud Strategy, Migration, Integration & Administration, HPC Cloud Computing, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, and Cloud ROI Analysis.
