Specialty Systems, Inc. (SSI) is a small business with 44 years of past performance providing Navy and Army software and systems development, system life cycle support and in-service engineering operating at NAVAIR Headquarters, Pax River, NAWCAD Lakehurst, and the Army C5ISR Flight & Ground Activities at Lakehurst (JBMDL). SSI’s Patuxent-River team provides acquisition management, systems engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and logistics support for UAS development and Counter-UAS development. For NAWCAD Lakehurst our team is the Software Support Activity (SSA) prime contractor supporting Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Systems and Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) Systems including the ADMACS flight deck management ERP and the entire aircraft launch and recovery suite. SSI is also developing the DevSecOps process to be used to develop future aircraft carrier flight deck software in an agile, containerized, and micro-services environment. DevSecOps will provide maintainable, scalable, easily, quickly, securely, enhanced, and affordable software and improved fleet readiness. SSI provides both contractor support services on base as part of IPTs and performs in-house system developments where fully integrated systems are delivered (with full government purpose rights) to the Navy and Army. SSI provides services to develop new aviation system operating concepts, technology insertion integration opportunities, system design, system engineering, requirements development, system interfacing & integration, system development, system test including automated testing, system of system testing in a tactical hardware and/or M&S environment, IV&V validation testing, cyber testing (RMF) leading to ATO, AI/ML, and configuration management.
