Commander Gavin D. Guidry, a native of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, enlisted in the Navy in 1999, completing Recruit Training at Great Lakes, Illinois, Aviation Electronics Technician “A” School at Pensacola, Florida, and H-3 Doppler Radar “C” School at Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from the University of Louisiana in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, from Naval Postgraduate School in 2012 with a Master of Business Administration, and from the University of Alabama in 2020 with a Master of Arts in Global Business Management.
His enlisted tour of duty was at Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department onboard Naval Air Field Atsugi where he also completed Micro and Miniature Electronics Repair Schools.
He was commissioned through Officer Candidate School at Pensacola, Florida in 2005.
At sea and forward deployed, Commander Guidry served in Patrol and Reconnaissance Squadron 45, on USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) in Yokosuka, as MMCO/DETMO for Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23, as IM-1 MMCO/AMO on USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70), and as Assistant/Officer in Charge of Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment, Atsugi. His last tour was as the USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) Maintenance Officer in Yokosuka.
Commander Guidry’s shore tours were Fleet Replacement Squadron AMO, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 41 and Level Two Integrated Product Team Lead for MQ-25 Training System Development at PMA-205/268.
Commander Guidry’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various unit, campaign, and service decorations. He was the recipient of the 2012 RADM Donald R. Eaton Logistics Award and 2019 Navy and Marine Corps Association Leadership Award for CVN 70.
In July 2025, Commander Guidry assumed command of FRC WESTPAC.
Commander Chad "Nature Boy" Henderson, USN

Commander Chad “Nature Boy” Henderson, a native of Bay City, Tx, graduated with distinction from the US Naval Academy in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering (Honors). He has also earned an Executive Master of Business Administration (March 2020) and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering (December 2023) from the Naval Postgraduate School. He completed flight training with VT-6 at NAS Whiting Field, FL and VT-22 at NAS Kingsville, TX, earning his wings in November 2012.
After flight school, LT Henderson moved to Lemoore, CA and completed the F/A-18 E/F FRS at VFA-122 before joining the VFA-14 Tophatters, an F/A-18E squadron, in May 2014 for his fleet tour. During his two and a half year fleet tour, he took part in a seven month Western Pacific Deployment and Rim of the Pacific Exercise. While with VFA-14, Nature Boy received the Navy Achievement Medal twice and the VFA-14 Captain Henry Mustin Leadership Award.
Nature Boy left VFA-14 in October 2016 to report to the Empire Test Pilots’ School (ETPS) in Boscombe Down, UK. He graduated from ETPS in December 2017 earning his Test Pilot qualification as well as the Hawker Hunter Award for the best Fixed Wing Final Report.
Following ETPS, Nature Boy joined VX-23 in Patuxent River, MD where he worked in the F/A-18 Department as an F/A-18A-F and T-45 Project Officer. His major project at VX-23 was the qualification and certification of the USAF KC-46. Other notable tests were conducting the first T-45 carrier landing on the USS GERALD R. FORD, CVN-78, to prove out the safe recovery operations and flight windows for the new class of carriers and conducting three T-45 airstarts to prove out a new airstart envelope. While with VX-23, Nature Boy received the Navy Achievement Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal.
Nature Boy became an Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer in November 2020 and departed VX-23 in December 2020 to report to PMA-242 as the Assistant Program Manager, Systems Engineering. At PMA-242, he was responsible for a $5.7M budget and over 100 engineers in support of over 80 weapon systems on 17 joint and allied aviation platforms. While with PMA-242, Nature Boy received the 2022 Admiral Merlin O’Neill Officer of the Year award and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Due to a gap in a critical community billet, Nature Boy left PMA-242 early to fill in as the AEDO Officer Community Manager (OCM) from March to November 2023. As the OCM, he was responsible for the community and career development of 308 officers, including end strength, promotion, accession, and retirement. For work as the OCM, Nature Boy received the Navy Commendation Medal.
Nature Boy served as the FRC WESTPAC Det Iwakuni Officer-In-Charge and Production Support Officer from November 2023 to May 2025. At FRC WESTPAC, he received the Navy Commendation Medal for leading 69 military, US civilian, and Japanese nationals coordinating emergent In-Service Repairs and Planned Maintenance Intervals for deployed USN and USMC aircraft worldwide.
In May 2025, he reported to FRC WESTPAC as the Executive Officer.
CMDCM (AW/SW/IW) Ashton O. Jovanovic, USN

Master Chief Ashton O. Jovanovic, a native of Westminster, Maryland, enlisted in the United States Navy on September 5, 2007. She attended Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Handler “A” School at Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC), Pensacola, Florida, graduating in 2008.
Her first assignment was aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), homeported in San Diego, California, where she served as an Aircraft Director and Fly 1 Petty Officer. During this tour, she completed three Western Pacific deployments, participated in Operation Tomodachi (2011), and supported the 2010 Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise. She was advanced to Petty Officer Second Class and earned her Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist (EAWS) and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) qualifications.
In 2013, Master Chief Jovanovic reported to NATTC Pensacola as an instructor for ABH “A” and “C” Schools, as well as the Aircraft Firefighting Team Trainer. She qualified as a Master Training Specialist, advanced to Petty Officer First Class, and served as President of the Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Association (ABMA) Gulf Coast Chapter (2014–2015) and Vice President of the National ABMA (2016).
In March 2016, she reported to USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) as the V-1 Division Leading Petty Officer, helping bring the ship out of Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH). She was selected for Chief Petty Officer in 2018 and led the Crash and Salvage Team during the ship’s historic 11-month “World Deployment” in 2019. While assigned to Lincoln, she earned her Information Dominance Warfare qualification and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
In 2020, she was selected for special duty as a Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) at the United States Naval Academy (USNA), 21st Company. Prior to reporting, she attended Recruit Division Commander “C” School. While at USNA, she completed professional coaching training at Georgetown University, graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, Rhode Island, and was nominated for the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award (2022).
In December 2022, she advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer and, in April 2023, reported to USS George Washington (CVN 73) as the V-1 Division Leading Chief Petty Officer. She led her division through completion of RCOH, a Southern Seas Deployment, a hull swap, and forward-deployed operations in Yokosuka, Japan, including a 2025 Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) patrol with zero aircraft mishaps.
In March 2025, Senior Chief Jovanovic was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program and graduated from the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course in September 2025. In March 2026, she advanced to Command Master Chief and she currently serves as the Command Master Chief of Fleet Readiness Center Western Pacific, Atsugi, Japan.
