Service To The Fleet From Det. Okinawa
Fleet Readiness Center Western Pacific, Detachment Okinawa is located at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma on the island of Okinawa, Japan. We are staffed and funded to perform planned maintenance interval events as well as depot level structural repair of all forward-deployed type/model/series U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft.
Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) Line: AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom
Det. Okinawa is the home of FRC WESTPAC's H-1 PMI maintenance. The H-1 PMI workload is currently under contract with NIPPI Corporation who provides world-class depot-level repair work on both the Viper and Venom aircraft.
In-Service Repair (ISR) Capabilities
Our teams of USCS artisans travel to the Fleet to repair our customers' aircraft on site. Each skilled member of our repair team brings with them immense knowledge and expertise of depot-level aviation maintenance.
We manufacture a variety of sheet metal, composite, and machined parts. We maintain a full inventory to facilitate repairs in addition to having deployable tool and material boxes. Our repair teams are supported by an Engineering Branch and a comprehensive Technical Publication Library. The Engineering team coordinates unique aircraft repairs with the COMFRC's stateside Fleet Readiness Centers.
We maintain teams on multiple U.S. Navy aircraft carriers providing responsive, quality repairs to help our customers maintain their mission readiness. Our teams cover a vast geographical area having traveled to sites from Hawaii to the Mediterranean Sea to the South China Sea and Australia. There is no place we won't go to fulfill our mission of accelerating naval aviation readiness for the Warfighter.
