    • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent U.S. resident

    • Must be a full-time student within three years of graduation with a bachelor's or master's degree in a formal program that is focused on cybersecurity at an awardee institution or a research-based doctoral student

    • Must be a community college student at a Scholarship for Service Community College Cyber Pilot awardee institution pursing an associate's degree or specialized certification in the field of cybersecurity and already have a bachelor's degree or are a veteran of the armed forces

    • Sophomores at community colleges are eligible for one year of support if there is a formal agreement between a community college and a four-year institution to transfer the student for two years of additional support to complete a bachelor's degree

    • Must be able to meet criteria for federal employment and be able to obtain a security clearance, if required
