Subsonic Aerial Target System (SSAT)


The SSAT replicates modern subsonic anti-ship cruise missile threats launched from air, land, surface and subsurface to test the effectiveness of shipboard air defense systems and used for fleet training. It is planned as the replacement for the BQM-74E and has an initial operating capability of 2019.
