The Mission Systems Management Activity team is responsible for the hardware and
software associated with the Rockwell cockpit solutions for the P-3, C-2, E-2, H-53,
and HC-130 aircraft. Initially, this cockpit system was developed and funded by
CNS/ATM. Continued upgrades to the system include display improvements, Blue Force
Tracker, Mode 5, JPALS, and others. MSMA responsibilities include life-cycle support,
warranty management, obsolescence management, ECPs when necessary, integration into
associated platforms, logistics support, software configuration management, and
operating system maintenance. Future responsibilities will include leading the effort
to develop and procure a common Network Processor and activities associated with
the establishment of the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
MSMA MISSION
