Covert altimetry for today and tomorrow ...

Low Probability of Intercept Altimeter (LPIA) is designed to replace existing APN-194 RT and interface with existing height indicators, antennas, cables, and mounts. LPIA provides:

  • Digital, modular radar altimeter
  • Drop-in replacement for existing altimeters
  • Use of existing peripheral equipment to minimize impact to the aircraft
  • Improved performance, supportability and reliability
  • Uses Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum as well frequency hopping
  • and power management techniques to reduce aircraft detectability
