VX-31 Aircraft Maintenance Department

About Us

The VX-31 Maintenance Department is an Organizational Maintenance Activity.
It is comprised of 320 contractor maintenance personnel, a Contract Oversight Team comprised of military personnel and 13 civil servants. The Maintenance Department provides superior organizational maintenance support and are actively supports every phase of flight testing and evaluation.

The squadron maintains unique and heavily modified aircraft consisting of different Type/Model/Series, including:"

EA-18G Growler

AV-8B Harriers

SH-60F helicopters

UH-1Y Huey

AH-1Z Cobra

AH-1W Cobra

There is always something different each day on the maintenance agenda.

VX-31 tests and evaluates many varied developmental projects for weapons, aircraft, and associated systems.

The squadron also supports the land and sea ranges with range clearance and calibration.
