The Air Test and Evaluation Squadron THREE ZERO (VX-30) Training Department is responsible for maintaining and fulfilling the upgrading and currency requirements for all manned and unmanned platforms at VX-30. The Training Department works closely with the Operations Department to effectively schedule events that best fulfill these requirements. The Training Department is responsible for qualifying non-native pilots and naval flight officers to become aircraft commanders, navigators, and tactical coordinators in the KC-130T. VX-30 is also responsible for training non-native air crewmen to become KC-130T flight engineers, loadmasters, and radar operators. The Training Department uses the C-130 school house at the Naval Air Station Fort Worth, TX to conduct initial positional training, and recurrent refresher training.
