Hotline Complaint Filing Tips
- Please attempt to identify the problem area or issue you are reporting - contract or procurement fraud; environment, health, and safety violations; misuse of government computers; product substitution and suspect/counterfeit parts; bribery, kickbacks, and gratuities; false statements/false claims; conflicts of interest and ethics violations; travel fraud; theft and/or abuse of government property; other violations of Federal laws and regulations.
- The IG does not investigate grievances or EEO complaints - please contact your agency’s EEO office.
- Consider giving your chain of command a chance to solve the problem you have identified. Contact the NAWCWD Hotline if you feel your chain of command is not the appropriate authority for resolving the matter.
- Remember that perceptions differ - Not all allegations of wrongdoing constitute violations of law, rule or regulation. A determination will be made if an investigation is justified based on the information in your complaint.
- Final Report of Investigation - The final Report of Investigation will be provided to the Commander NAWCWD and other parties with an official need to know.
- An investigation takes time - Be patient with the process.
