China Lake Marines Announce Birthday Ball

The Marine Aviation Detachment announces its annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Paradise Community Center on board the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake.

This marks the 235th year of Marine Corps service to our nation. Members of the community with military affiliation (active, reserve, retired, prior service military and DoD civilians) are invited to attend the ball for an evening of dinner, dancing and commemorative ceremonies.

In order to reserve a place on the formal invitation list, interested persons who meet the affiliation description are asked to contact Chief Warrant Officer Michael Osilla by mail (letter or post card) or an email message to michael.osilla@navy.mil with subject line: MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY BALL INVITATION. Letters or post cards should be addressed to Commanding Officer, (Attention: CWO3 Osilla), Marine Aviation Detachment, 2 Administration Circle, Mail Stop 1317, China Lake, CA 93555.

Provide the following information in letter or email: full name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, branch of service, active/retired/prior service status, grade (current or at separation/retirement), years of service. If DoD civilian, include title and department; if community or business leader with military affiliation, list community position and/or name of business.
