News Release Number: ECL200811211

Diane Dion of IE Pacific, Inc., Lt. Cmdr. Edward Miller and Cmdr. Stan Kloss of Naval Facilities Southwest, Scott O'Neil and Capt. Mark Storch of Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, and Capt. Gary Peterson of Naval Air Weapons Station break ground Nov. 21 for a $7.1 million facility resulting from the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure at China Lake. The 24,000 square feet development will provide an additional 10,000 square feet of engineering laboratories and space for 81 people to support realigning weapons and armament functions and help NAWCWD contribute to the Navy's goals of improving future readiness and future warfighting.
