Rear Adm. (lower half) David A. Dunaway is being assigned as Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR), Norfolk, Va. Dunaway is currently serving as Commander, Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapon Division, in California.

OPTEVFOR serves as the independent and objective agency within the Navy for operational testing and evaluation of naval aviation, surface warfare, submarine warfare, C41, cryptologic and space systems in support of the Navy and DoD acquisition programs.
