Students

The Student Education Employment Program (SEEP) is comprised of three components: the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP), the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) and the SCEP Apprentice Program. The SCEP and STEP programs are available to all levels of students: high school, vocational, technical, associate, baccalaureate, graduate, and doctorate. Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age, a U.S. citizen, be in good academic standing, and enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree or certificate. SCEP is a planned career development program that integrates classroom theory with related, paid work experience within NAWCWD. The program offers students valuable work experience directly related to their academic field of study.
STEP provides flexibility to both students and the employer by providing temporary employment to students in areas which may be unrelated to their academic program.
The SCEP Apprentice Program is a three year planned career development program at NAWCWD China Lake that provides full-time employment, on-the-job training, and merit-based promotions. This program is available to U.S. citizens who are a minimum of 18 years of age and are enrolled half time in an educational institution. Apprentice Brochure [PDF] and Application [PDF]
NAWCWD has multiple opportunities and is currently recruiting Interns and Co-ops for both the China Lake and Point Mugu sites. Incumbents must be United States citizens and must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Government security clearance.
