Entry-Level Engineers and Scientists

We are actively recruiting for highly motivated employees who have recently graduated or will graduate in the near future with Bachelors Degrees, Masters Degree or Ph.D.s in the noted disciplines.
Applicants have generally not yet had the chance to gain direct work experience and can participate in Engineer and Scientist Development Program (ESDP). This program provides a valuable opportunity to actually apply educational knowledge first hand in rotational assignments.
NAWCWD has multiple opportunities for recent graduates and is currently recruiting for both the China Lake and Point Mugu sites.
Incumbents must be United States citizens and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Our newly hired Scientists and Engineers will immediately be enrolled into our Engineering and Science Development Program (ESDP), providing them with an excellent developmental curriculum combining rotational assignments, formal classroom training, and on-the-job experiences applying technical knowledge to Department of Defense Programs.
Our newly hired Engineers and Scientists come directly from colleges and universities and are eager to gain direct work experience. Our program is invaluable in that it provides the opportunity to actually apply technical knowledge first hand. The rotational assignments provide our new hires with the opportunity to contribute to various projects, thus learning about our total organization and the types of opportunities they might pursue as their career progresses. Opportunities to work with senior scientists and engineers provide our new hires with a tremendous reservoir of technical talent to draw from. Technical mentors are assigned to each new Engineer and Scientist to provide them with career guidance and technical direction to assist with their career advancement opportunities.
Development Program: Successful applicants will participate in a 3 to 5-year development program which will prepare the employee for full performance level work in such areas as:
