High Tech Work: Counter-IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices)

The NAWCWD Joint Counter-IED Facility was established for testing and evaluation of counter-IED technologies and systems developed to detect, defeat, and destroy IEDs safely and quickly at a distance, with emphasis placed on accomplishing this without placing the troops in danger. It will also support the application of effective IED countermeasures, and the development of tactics, techniques, and procedures to counter the ongoing IED threat.
